Minecraft Competition 2020 Terms and Conditions

  1. The promoter is the British & Foreign Bible Society (known as ‘Bible Society’) Charity no. 232759, whose registered office is at Stonehill Green, Westlea, Swindon SN5 7DG.
  2. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO WIN.
  3. This competition is open to everyone aged 3 and over (if you are under 13 you should play on creative mode, with your parents’ permission) subject to paragraph 4 below.
  4. Employees of Bible Society, their family members or anyone else connected with the Competition may not enter the Competition.
  5. Any entrants under the age of 16 must have their parents’ permission prior to entering the competition.
  6. Entrants into the Competition shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
  7. Entries must be in images (not video) using the JPEG or PNG file format.
  8. Each entry may (but does not have to) contain up to 10 images to tell the Bible story you want to submit.
  9. Each contestant may submit up to three entries.
  10. By entering the competition you accept that Bible Society may share your photograph on their website and social media channels.
  11. To enter, supply your photograph by emailing [email protected] by 23.59 on 24/8/2020. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  12. Bible Society takes no responsibility for corrupted or late entries.
  13. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  14. Bible Society reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these terms and conditions without notice.
  15. Any changes to the Competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Bible Society.
  16. Winners will be chosen by a judging panel from Bible Society.
  17. Bible Society’s decision on all matters relating to the Competition is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  18. Bible Society will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected from or delivered to.
  19. The winner will be notified by email within 4 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, Bible Society reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  20. The prize is as stated, no cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  21. All entries must be original screenshots from the player’s in-game world, screenshots taken from the web or from the Unofficial Minecraft Bible will be automatically disqualified.
  22. This competition is in no way officially or unofficially sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Minecraft, Mojang or Microsoft in any way whatsoever. Bible Society makes no claim that there is any link, agreement, understanding or connection between itself and the aforementioned companies.
  23. All entrants are solely responsible for abiding by their EULA terms with Microsoft, Mojang and Minecraft.
  24. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network. You are providing your information to Bible Society and not to any other party.   25. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  26. The winner agrees and (if applicable) has their parents’ permission, for the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  27. THIS IS NOT AN OFFICAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT OR ENDORSEMENT, NOT APPROVED BY NOR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG IN ANY WAY.
  28. The winner’s name will be available 28 days after closing date by emailing [email protected].
