• For a Bible Society presence and ministry in over 240 countries and territories worldwide
• For the generosity of Bible Society supporters that enables this work to happen, and for the dedication of creative and hard-working staff in every part of the globe
• That the Bible has power to help people of all backgrounds in every situation and at all times

• Ask that the followers of Jesus everywhere will grow in knowledge and love of God and neighbour, and will shine as lights to all around (Matthew 5.16)
• For guidance so that, in fast-moving times, Bible Society can respond to new challenges and opportunities in whatever way Christ is calling us to
• For the protection of Bible Society staff around the world. Many work in difficult and even oppressive situations. Pray for their encouragement
• Pray for unity and efficiency in all of our mission and activities so that we can serve all our customers, supporters, partners, and audiences as effectively as we can
• Ask that God will meet  all our needs to fulfil this great task (‘… with all his abundant wealth through Jesus Christ, my God will supply all your needs.’ Philippians 4.19, GNB)

God, you created all there is by the power of your word and you renew us daily by your life-giving Spirit. We give thanks for the Scriptures in which you give us the wisdom leading to salvation through Jesus Christ, and that teach, train and correct us. We pray for all involved in the translation, distribution and production of the Bible worldwide, and for all who help people understand and live by it. Lord, so shape your people by your word that we will bring life and hope to all around us through Jesus, your living Word. We ask this for your glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
