Prayer tree leaves: Middle East and North Africa

Bible Society teams are sharing the Bible with those affected by war in the Middle East as they offer Bible-based trauma healing as well as food and other essentials. You can support us in prayer by adding a prayer leaf to our tree. Together, we can support those who need it most.

Dear Lord, please help the war in Gaza to cease and peace talks to prevail. There appears nowhere for the refugees to shelter and be safe, and food seems to remain in short supply. Also, there doesn’t seem to be any progress in finding the hostages. Please help them. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Merciful God, I pray with all my heart for help for the refugees; what they appear to be suffering is, to me, beyond words. Please help to open opportunities for the most urgent of injured children to receive British medical expertise. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear Lord, my heart goes out to the refugees, suffering agony and pain, hunger, and thirst. Babies, toddlers, children, not being given a chance of childhood or even life. Lord in your mercy, please help to stop this war. Through Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear Lord, please help the humanitarian aid agencies to have priority access into Gaza, in preference to the commercial shipments. Keep the aid agencies safe and free from harm as they deliver their goods to the refugees. Through Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear Lord, let not the world ignore, or brush under the carpet the happenings in Gaza. Under your Heaven, Lord, there must be a way to bring peace. I pray for the safety of the remaining hostages as Israel continues to ignore International Law and does not appear to want to negotiate. Amen.

Dear Lord, more people dead or injured, children in desperate need of specialist medical care, and refugees starving, have mercy on them and help bring this tragedy to an end. Help us to know the truth of what is really happening as contradictions exist. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Heavenly Father, what am I to think when I read of an Israel airstrike on an Israeli designated safe place for refugees, killing mainly women and children. The refugees are living a nightmare existence, please help them, and bring these attacks to an end. Let there be peace! In Jesus Christ. Amen.
