Festival-goers at Wiston House loved experiencing the Bible at the Spoken Word Stage.
Bible Society’s Creative Specialist, Dai Woolridge, curated an amazing line-up that included Poetess Jess, Joshua Luke Smith, Sophia Thakur and Guvna B. These faith-based poets engaged the audience with all kinds of verbal wonders, and the schedule included bless-offs, a poetry slam and an open mic session for favourite scriptures.
Spotlighting the theme of encountering God’s word, Dai performed his poem The Bible in Four Minutes with Poetess Jess and Ben Haydn. You can watch the poem in animated form and buy the book, Six Beats One Story, which features the poem and encourages you to engage creatively with the Bible’s big story.
