We won the 2017 Investor in People ‘Excellence in the Third Sector’ at an award ceremony in London, last night.

HR Manager, Kim Allen, and Ryan Haylock, Marketing and Brand Manager, collected the award on behalf of us all.

The award recognises the people and teams that make the difference in their workplace and celebrates the best people management practices amongst Investors in People accredited businesses.

There were 12 categories of award - which gave us the opportunity to benchmark how all our staff are treated against high performing organisations globally.

As part of our submission we explained that we invest in training and, most importantly, we have a culture which engenders trust and relationships. We added that staff often say that ‘the people’ are what makes Bible Society a great place to work.

Responding to the news Paul Williams said: 'This reflects wonderfully on our people managers, the HR/IIP team who focus on people investment all year, and on all those involved in our submission to this award.'

We beat off stiff competition from Common Thread Ltd; Gateway Qualifications and Newlon Housing Trust in our category.

Investors in People is an internationally recognised accreditation, held by 14,000 organisations across the world.
