‘Our teams continue to work hard,’ reports a Ukraine Bible Society spokesman, ‘receiving humanitarian aid and bringing it to people Kyiv, along with Bibles.’
However, ‘the heroes of the day,’ says Rostik, are ‘people in Kherson who came out to the central square against the armoured enemies and started pushing them out of the centre.
‘Without any armour, they have courageously crowded them out and even seized an armoured carrier.’
However, the Bible Society in Ukraine has condemned the attacks on humanitarian corridors for people fleeing the cities of Mariupol and Irpin. The route out of Mariupol received heavy shelling, and the railway on which the evacuation train was set to leave Irpin was bombed.
‘We cannot imagine how painful it is for our people there,’ says Rostik, ‘almost evacuated, almost in safety and then being forced to come back to shelters and damaged homes. Please continue upholding Ukraine in your prayers.’
