In 2019, Bible Society eSwatini opened a brand new children’s mission centre in Mazini, built with the help of a legacy gift from a Bible Society supporter.
Bible Society volunteer Heather Clements visited the centre when it opened.
Ngcebo Mbuli, who leads the team in eSwatini, shared this report on the centre’s first year.
I am happy to share with you that our children’s projects are doing very well. The centre is a huge blessing!
With lockdown easing, we are able to assemble 60–100 children at the centre twice a week under strict Covid regulations (checking temperatures, providing hygiene equipment and maintaining social distancing). Schools are still not fully opened so children are available for our programmes.
Recently, the national television station has given us a free 30-minute time slot once a week to air the children’s programmes happening at the centre. This is a huge motivation to the children, knowing they’re on national television every week.
The programmes follow this pattern:
The Church is an amazing partner in delivering this. We have very good and active volunteers. And we appreciate every resource you have shared with us, in particular the Bible and construction of the centre, which is such a blessing to us and the children of eSwatini.
We continue to pray for the Lord’s grace, protection and blessings over you.
