Trauma Healing is widely available

‘People are really traumatised,’ said Victor Kalisher, who leads the team in Jerusalem. ‘We’ve started translating resources into Hebrew for the first time to guide people through a spiritual trauma healing. And together with that, we provide a Bible.’

Bible Society’s Trauma Healing programme, which brings Scripture to mental health support, has changed lives around the world. Your contribution, especially right now, is bringing proven help to people suffering the emotional consequences of war. And the trauma healing resources are available across communities in the Hebrew and Arabic languages.

Palestinians are hearing God’s word

Among Palestinians, Nashat Filmon is sharing a message of hope and restoration. This message is shocking in the circumstances, not only in devastated Gaza but also in the West Bank, where tens of thousands are internally displaced, many having fled refugee camps. But Nashat and his team are confident that their message of hope is God’s word for the people they serve.

Nashat said: ‘The principles we seek are rooted in the teachings of Jesus. Our mission is to bring these principles to life for all those affected and traumatised by this ongoing crisis.’

In addition to providing practical and emotional support, the team is sharing God’s word across media in their communities. Your donations enable them to give out Bibles, open Scripture in study groups, and widely declare the message at a time when it’s most needed.

The Bible is inspiring peace

Reaching Israel’s Arab citizens, Dina Katanacho’s team in Nazareth remains committed to using the Bible to raise a generation of peacemakers. The war has made this outreach even more crucial but also a lot more difficult. Communities in northern Israel, which is the main area of their work, suffer bombardment and evacuation.

‘We’re trusting in God’s faithfulness amid uncertainty,’ said Dina. She’s encouraged to have your support as she struggles to inspire major change through engagement with the Bible. Through summer camps, anti-bullying sessions in schools, and sharing Bibles with children and adults, they’re promoting Bible-based cultural change.
