The Romanian Bible was first published in 1688. This Cornilescu translation is the most popular translation especially with the Protestant and Evangelical churches. It is a colloquial language translation by Dumitru Cornilescu (1891-1975), who did the translation for British & Foreign Bible Society. The New Testament was printed in 1921 and the whole Bible first printed in 1924, and then revised in 1928. This is in Roman script, although editions also exist in Cyrillic for Moldova.
