My Bible: reasons to believe in the power of the Bible
'I studied dance at college. When I had to go to auditions, I was really scared. My first audition was for X Factor dancers. After that I had an audition for the European Music Awards. You compare yourself to others. You think, "What if I ruin this?"
There are verses in Isaiah 43 which talk about God being with you when you go through deep waters. Before auditions I’d keep remembering that. I stuck to that and it brought me back to God.
It gave me peace and I enjoyed the auditions. I didn’t get the jobs, but I did get to recall stage, which I was surprised about. If I hadn’t read this, I wouldn’t have believed in myself, but reading that helped me to believe in myself, and that helped me to be myself at the auditions.
Now, I always read it before auditions. I’ve learned not to put myself in a wrong mindset, setting myself up to fail. I’ve learned to be positive, because I know that God has a plan for me, whether that audition is it or not.'
